We are all caught up!

Today Ethan is just over 3 months old and it is hard to believe how much he has grown and changed in just 3 short months. He is sitting up in his bumbo chair, doing really well at tummy time and talking in gooos and cooos a little bit more every day. He has a serious and intense personality and times but is also statting to show more giggles and smiles. I am very excited to see what the next 3 months will bring.

Ethan recently enjoyed his first bonfire. After being couped up inside for his entire life I think he just really enjoyed the chance to get outside.

Here is a picture of Ethan today!

Easter and a 3 month birthday (5-18-2014)!

Ethan celebrated his very first Holiday...Easter. It was his second time meeting Great Grandpa Jerry and they got along pretty good this time as well.

Ethan celebrated his 3 month birthday on May 18, 2014. He didnt have a 3 month appointment but he is around 16 pounds and continues to be a pretty happy little fella. He is smiling and interacting with us more and more which makes me very excited for what is to come.

Month #2- 4/18/2014

Thankfully we didnt have anything too exciting to deal with in Ethan's second monht. For the most part he has been a pretty good and happy little guy. He started to show some signs of general fussiness and Mom and I got a littl concerned that we may be in for a repeat of the colic that we dealt with during his sisters first several months. We got him into the chiropractor and also got him on some medicine for reflux and he seems to be handling things very well.

At his two month appointment Ethan was 24.5 inches long and weighed 14 pounds and 9 ounces. He is a very big guy for his age and is also quite long. He was in the 97th percentile for weight and 94th percentile for length. Needless to say, eating enough has not been an issue for a while.

My First Month 3/18/2014

Ethan's first month was pretty exciting. After being born a very large little boy he decided to not eat that much and start shriking. At his lowest I think he weighed 8 lbs 6 ounces and people were a littl nervous about him having lost more than 10 percent of his birth weight. He was born with a little extra weight so it never got to be too scary. Eventually he caught on.

On his 1 month birthday Ethan 23.25 inches long and weighed 10 pounds and 12 ounces.

Ethan Everett Herman- 2/18/2014

At 10:01 am on February 18, 2014 we welcomed Ethan Everett Herman into this world. He arrived during a scheduled cesarean section at Maple Grove Hospital. It was quite a different experience than his big sister. We arrived at the hospital and it felt like checking into a hotel. We got settled into our room and eventually they arrived to take Gina to the c-section suite.  I was a little bummed that they didnt let me accompany her to the operating room right off the bat. By the time I arrived she was pretty nervous and getting a little worked up. A few short (LONG) minutes later I heard the doctor say "WOOOOW LOOK AT THOSE CHEEKS"! Ethan was 22.5 inches long and weighed a whopping 9 pounds and 8 ounces.

I think Isabelle fell in love with her brother as fast as Mom and I did. She was pretty into him from the very beginning. The second day in the hospital he sat in her arms and watched almost 2 full episodes of Sponge Bob. I think they are going to get along very well.

On February 21 at around 3:00pm we packed up Ethan and headed home. We had a terrible snow storm while we were at the hospoital and travel was less than ideal. Getting everyone home was better than having to drive back and forth through terrible ice and snow.
